Capitani season 2 is a crime thriller drama series on Netflix. The series follows Luc Capitani who now lives in Luxembourg City and accepts a job that soon tangles him in a murder investigation linked to the capital’s criminal underworld. It has 12 episodes with a runtime of about 27-38 minutes respectively.

Following the events of the last season, Luc Capitani had just been released from prison, as the court had decided that there was insufficient evidence to prove that he had killed Drug Lord, Vincent Da Costa. Now he works as a private investigator to make quick money. That’s how one day while searching for a missing girl, he finds himself amidst a bigger trap of murder, drugs and dark rituals.

Capitani season 2 started off with the mysterious death of a cabaret girl, Andrea who had unusual injuries and traces of drugs with chicken bones in hand, which seemed like a ritualistic murder. On a simple internet search, the evidence leads to Nigerian ritualistic culture. Thus, due to his detailed investigation, the head of Le Carat Cabaret, Valentina offers him a job to keep her cabaret safe.

On the other hand, Grace aka Pink Panther saw something on the night of the murder but before Luc could talk to her, she disappeared. At the same time, her brother Lucky Onu is also looking for her and wants to take her home. But while the case is still under investigation, another murder takes place in the same manner. And another girl named Stella is killed.

But since she was wearing Pink Panther’s wig, it was assumed that the body was of Grace. The murders urge the owners of the two big Cabarets, Valentina Draga & Gibbs Koenig to come together against the Nigerians who seem to be infiltrating the area with Drugs and possibly behind the murders. Valentina suggests that they should also start selling the drugs, thus cutting off Nigerians’ business completely.

However, Koenig is not in favour of this, but his son Arthur promises that he will convince his father. One thing led to another while trying to bust the drug business, Arthur gets killed by unknown assailants. Unable to figure out how the plan went wrong, Luc takes Carla’s help but soon she meets the same fate.

Meanwhile, the Police raid the grand hotel on an anonymous tip and bust the drug operations, from where Lucky Onu escapes and lands up in the hospital where Luc’s sister works. To help Lucky meet Grace, Jean Capitani calls up Luc, who takes him to his home. Bianca is also working with Capitani as she is in contact with Grace and tries to help the siblings.

While taking Lucky to where Grace is, they are chased by Dominic and the policeman Tony who tries to kill Lucky. But it turns out that the person in the car is Capitani instead and all the secrets come out at this moment. It is revealed that the whole plan from Andrea’s murder till now was Valentina’s plan to take over the business from her competitors.

And the mystery killer was no other than Police officer Tony, who was the son of Valentina’s friend. His mother died due to an overdose when she was 21, so Valentina took him in. But when Luc realised that Dominik was selling drugs at the cabaret, he deduced that the incoming drug delivery was hijacked by him and thus made this plan to trap him.

But it turns out he was just a puppet in his mother’s hands and was doing what was instructed by Valentina. But during the encounter, Tony’s cover blows up, thus he tries to kill everyone and in self-defence Luc shoots him and saves Elsa. And on the happy side, Lucky is driven by Joe to meet up with Grace and he reaches the location safely. Capitani is also relieved from his undercover work.

In the end, Luc Capitani and Elsa are back in Manschied and hanging out with Joe. It appears that they have had enough of the police world and have decided to mourn the loss of their loved ones and mend their open wounds. However, no such news or notice about the season renewal has been released yet, but looking at the plot of this season, taking the story forward is definitely possible.

Like Capitani Season 2 wasn’t related to the last season, similarly, the creators might put Luc Capitani in different situations and crimes in the next seasons. Having been disappointed with their past lovers, there could be a possibility of a budding romance between Luc and Elsa at the place where they first met.

Capitani Season 2 is streaming on Netflix.
