Ohio Northern University is launching a new email and text system called ONU Alert and a new app called Rave Guardian.
This enhanced safety technology will replace the current Nixle Alert system.
ONU Alert is for receiving weather and emergency communications.
Rave Guardian turns any smartphone into a personal safety device.
ONU Alert has already uploaded existing ONU student and employee email addresses and mobile numbers into the system so there’s no need to sign up.
Students can download the free Rave Guardian App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
