At home (rented house), CATV (J: COM) is included, and terrestrial digital broadcasting can be viewed by retransmitting CATV.Previously, I subscribed to the CATV service "J: COM TV Digital" mainly because I wanted to watch BS, and I was watching multi-channel broadcasting of BS and CATV, but "STB is not easy to use", Due to factors such as "there are two recorders, one for terrestrial digital broadcasting and one for CATV / BS" and "the latest recorder has better playback image quality", the frequency of use of BS and CATV multi-channel broadcasting is in the end. Was low, so I canceled the contract. The first thing that surprised me was the size of the router. It is a product called "PR-S300SE / GV-ONU" with a built-in ONU (optical network unit), which can be used as a 4-port router and also equipped with an RF terminal for FLET'S TV.It's much larger than the NEC wireless LAN router "WR7600H" that I bought 6 years ago, and it's rugged, so it's a little difficult to store. In addition, it does not have a wireless LAN as standard, and it cannot be used as a wireless LAN router unless an optional PCI card is installed separately.Since only one notebook PC uses wireless LAN, I use the wireless LAN router that I have been using so far by connecting it to the PR-S300SE without adding a card.Once you have set the reception, you can watch terrestrial / BS digital broadcasting without any problems. In short, it is the same as receiving terrestrial / BS digital with an antenna, so it can only be said that the usability is "normal".Since it is a service that retransmits terrestrial / BS digital as it is, it is natural, but there is no particular impression that it has changed compared to CATV terrestrial digital retransmission. The only thing I can say is that when watching terrestrial digital broadcasting, you can only watch community channels on CATV.At my home, as a digital broadcast reception environment, LCD TVs mainly use REGZA "37Z2000" and Blu-ray recorder "DMR-BW830", but DIGA uses both terrestrial digital and BS digital TVs. Connected to REGZA, terrestrial digital is connected to CATV retransmission, and BS is connected to DIGA through output. It's okay to use FLET'S TV for everything, but at the moment, CATV is also left as a backup environment in the event of a failure, as well as being able to watch community channels.Copyright © 2018 Impress Corporation.
